We are looking for CBT Therapists or Clinical / Counselling Psychologists who are BABCP accredited or eligible for accreditation to join the service at this interesting time of change and expansion within Islington.
Islington Talking Therapies (ITT) is an integrated Talking Therapies service (formerly IAPT Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) providing a range of Talking Therapies approved interventions.
The successful candidate will provide high intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with patients who have a range of anxiety disorders and depression related problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. As part of their caseload, the post holder will be expected to carry out assessments and offer CBT Groups as well as individual CBT treatment.
The post holder will be required to work with people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and may work in various community settings, including GP surgeries and community venues.
The service seeks to provide ease of access for service users and to this end there will be a requirement to work flexible hours between 8am and 8 pm based on service requirements.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
1. Offer CBT treatment in individual sessions (Digital via Teams or face to face).
2. Offer CBT treatment in a group setting (Digital via Teams or face to face).
3. Conduct assessments (Telephone or face to face).
4. Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service.
5. Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the services referral protocols, and refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary.
6. Formulate, implement and evaluate therapy programmes for people attending the service.
7. Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, conveying CBT formulations with sensitivity in easily understood language.
