Gelato Chef – Craft Proper Italian Gelato with Us!
Location: Near Chichester, West Sussex
Hours: Full-time (40 hrs/week, Mon–Fri, daytime shifts)
Hey food lovers! Fancy swapping late nights and sweaty kitchens for something a bit sweeter? We’re Gelato Gusto, a family-run business making proper Italian-style artisan gelato & sorbet that’s scooped up loads of awards (22 Great Taste Awards, a Golden Fork for London & the South East, and European finalists of the Gelato Festival World Masters.
After 12 years selling directly to our retail customers, we’ve shifted our focus to wholesale, producing our award-winning gelato for restaurants, cafés, and businesses across the South. We’ve now got a shiny production kitchen in the Sussex countryside, just outside Chichester, and we’re looking for a passionate Gelato Chef to join the team.

What You’ll Be Doing
· Running the day-to-day gelato & sorbet production
· Crafting high-quality, small-batch gelato with precision and care
· Creating new flavour combinations and seasonal specials
· Keeping the kitchen ship-shape, safe, and efficient
· Working primarily on your own, but also alongside a small friendly team when needed
What We’re Looking For
· A real passion for food and Italian-style gelato & sorbet
· Organised, reliable, and cool under pressure
· Someone who’s happy working independently, but also great in a small team
· Friendly and positive, with good communication skills
· Kitchen/production experience is a plus, but not essential – we’ll teach you everything you need to know
