Luke 9:48 Homes is looking for caring, reliable and committed Support Workers to join our team in Maidstone.
We are currently recruiting urgently for people who are passionate about working with children and young people and want to make a genuine difference to their lives.
This is a rewarding role where you will help create a safe, stable, nurturing and welcoming home where young people can feel secure, supported and valued.
About the role
As a Support Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team providing day-to-day care and support to children and young people.
Your role will include:
- Providing high-quality care and support.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Supporting daily routines, activities, education and appointments.
- Encouraging independence and developing life skills.
- Promoting positive behaviour and appropriate boundaries.
- Supporting the emotional wellbeing and development of young people.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming home.
- Following care plans, risk assessments and company procedures.
- Completing accurate records and daily documentation.
- Working closely with colleagues and other professionals.
- Attending training, supervision and team meetings.
- Supporting the safeguarding and welfare of every young person.

You don't need to have worked in a children's home before. What matters most is having the right attitude, values and commitment.
