We are an authentic artisan pizza manufacturer based in Tunbridge Wells, producing high-quality doughballs and hand-shaped pizza bases.
We are looking for an experienced, reliable Production Operative to join our dough preparation and baking team. This is a practical, hands-on position within a busy food-production environment.
Previous experience in dough preparation, pizza making, baking, food production or a commercial kitchen is required. This is not a trainee position, although training will be provided on our products, equipment and working procedures.
Main duties
- Preparing and mixing pizza dough according to recipes
- Weighing and dividing dough into the correct portions
- Hand-stretching and shaping artisan pizza bases
- Working on the baking and production line
- Loading and unloading products from the oven line
- Checking product size, shape, weight and overall quality
- Following production instructions and completing production records
- Cleaning equipment and maintaining high hygiene standards
- Following food-safety, allergen and workplace-safety procedures
- Assisting with packing and other production duties when required
Essential requirements
- Previous experience in dough preparation, pizza making, baking, food manufacturing or a similar food-production role
- A good understanding of food hygiene
- Reliable, punctual and able to start work at 7:00am
- Able to work efficiently as part of a small team
- Good attention to detail and product quality
- Comfortable performing practical and repetitive work
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and handle ingredients and trays
- Comfortable working in a hot bakery environment
