We are looking to recruit to 1 vacancy within our City Telecare Services 24 hour control room.
About the role:
You will be responsible for handling emergency calls from elderly and vulnerable people on our Telecare Service and handling emergency out of hours telephone calls on behalf of the City Council, dealing with housing repairs, highways issues and many other vital City Council services.
It’s an incredibly fast paced but exceptionally rewarding role that requires quick but effective decision making. You’ll be compassionate, empathetic and have exceptional communication skills but be able to cope with competing demands, sometimes in stressful conditions. You’ll need to be able to work independently and on your own initiative whilst operating as a committed member of the team.
Additional Information:
Salary: £32,061 - £36,362 (pro-rata) plus 6% shift allowance.
Shift Pattern:
28.25 hours per week working
23:30 – 07:30 on a 3 on, 3 off shift pattern (including weekends and Bank Holidays)
Posts are subject to DBS check
Successful candidates will also be expected to attend a monthly team meeting held on a Wednesday 1500 - 1600hrs.
