Sous Chef – The White Hart, Moorwood Moor
£16 per hour | 4 days per week out of 7 | Full-time
We are looking for a passionate and reliable Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at The White Hart, Moorwood Moor.
The White Hart is home to the Fork & Furrow Bar & Restaurant, serving fresh, homemade pub and restaurant food, alongside a busy calendar of weddings, private functions and events throughout the year.
We are looking for someone who takes real pride in producing excellent food and enjoys working with fresh ingredients. The role will involve a mix of restaurant service, traditional pub food and high-quality banquet and wedding catering.
You will work closely with our small kitchen team and help support the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness and consistency.
The role includes:
- Preparing and cooking fresh, homemade food
- Supporting busy restaurant services
- Producing high-quality food for weddings and functions
- Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team
- Helping maintain excellent food standards and consistency
- Supporting kitchen organisation, preparation and stock control
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Helping create a positive and professional kitchen environment
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar chef role
- A genuine passion for fresh, homemade food
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Ability to work well within a small team
- Confidence working across both restaurant and banquet service
- Reliable, positive and calm under pressure
- Pride in producing consistently excellent food
Hours & Pay
£16 per hour.
The role is based on 4 working days per week out of 7, including a mixture of weekdays and weekends depending on the business, weddings and events calendar.
