Can you build positive relationships where others struggle?
At DegreeSix, we are proud to be Peterborough’s first specialist SEN recruitment agency. We are working closely with a school supporting young people who may have experienced exclusion, trauma, disrupted education, behavioural challenges or social, emotional and mental health needs.
Many of the pupils are incredibly capable but require the right support, consistency and positive role models to help them re-engage with education.
This is a role for someone who is confident, resilient and able to see beyond behaviour.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils to re-engage with education
- Building positive and professional relationships
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour
- Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
- Encouraging attendance, engagement and positive outcomes
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with young people in education
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Experience supporting SEMH, Autism or challenging behaviour
- Ability to establish boundaries whilst building trust
- Resilient, proactive and confident personality
Applications are particularly welcomed from experienced Learning Behaviour Mentors, SEN Teaching Assistants, Youth Workers and Education Professionals who have previously worked with pupils presenting challenging behaviour.
This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference to young people who need the right adult in their corner.
