We are currently working with a number of well-regarded mainstream secondary schools across Croydon and Sutton who are looking to appoint confident and reliable Cover Supervisors on a flexible, ad hoc basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, aspiring teachers, graduates, or individuals with relevant school-based experience who are looking for flexible work within supportive secondary school environments.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.
- Managing classroom behaviour to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Ensuring students remain engaged and complete the work set.
- Providing feedback to teaching staff regarding student behaviour and progress.
- Following all school policies and safeguarding procedures.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience working with young people (school-based experience is preferred).
- Strong behaviour management skills (essential).
- Confidence leading a classroom independently.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A calm, professional, and adaptable approach.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
