Chef de Partie — La Tapa Loca, Brighton
La Tapa Loca is looking for a talented Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. We're a modern Spanish Mediterranean tapas restaurant bringing bold, authentic flavours to Brighton — think small plates designed for sharing, quality seasonal ingredients, and a fast-paced, high-energy service.
We're after: a skilled, reliable chef who can confidently run their own section, keep standards high under pressure, and bring genuine enthusiasm for Spanish and Mediterranean cooking to the kitchen.
What you'll be doing:
- Running your section with consistency, speed, and attention to detail during service
- Preparing and cooking dishes to spec, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef with prep, stock rotation, and mise en place
- Following food hygiene, safety, and allergen procedures at all times
- Keeping your section clean, organised, and service-ready at all times
- Contributing ideas and feedback as the menu evolves
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie
- Ability to work quickly and calmly under pressure during busy service
- A reliable team player with a strong work ethic
- Solid food safety and hygiene knowledge
