Based in Nottingham and founded in 2003, Blue Monday Events has become one of the UK’s leading Silent Auction companies. Working on a variety of events throughout the UK, US and mainland Europe, Blue Monday has built its reputation on reliability and a ‘failure is not an option’ ethos, which runs right through the business.
We are a growing team and very passionate about our Clients and fundraising as a whole. The work we do has the power to help change people’s lives for the better and it is a responsibility we take very seriously! We are looking to recruit this position to strengthen our successful team and help take it to the next level.
The successful applicant will be confident, hardworking, creative and highly organised. Working closely with our Event Director, they will be responsible for the delivery of our Silent Auctions, from the design and branding of brochures and tech-based options, selection of prizes, booking of staff, through to delivering the auction on the night and all post event analysis, chasing up payments and coordination of our experience-based prizes. They will also assist with social media marketing, website updates and direct marketing.
A ‘can do’ attitude is an absolute must, as is a strong team spirit. Working as part of a small energetic team, they will be based at our offices in Wilford, Nottingham.
The successful applicant will be required to attend meetings and high-profile events at some of the UK’s most prestigious event venues, many of which will be in and around London out of hours, for which a vehicle will be provided. There will also be opportunities for work overseas. During busy periods (November and December currently) hours can often be long, with lots of travel and overnight stays away.
The right applicant would have the power to make this position a key role in the business and there is definite scope for progression in return for commitment, loyalty and success. If you consider yourself to be a confident, hard-working, resilient individual that thrives on new challenges and is comfortable working hours regularly outside of the 9-5 framework, we look forward to hearing from you. Your hard work and commitment will be rewarded!
