Store Manager - New Store Opening Bath
Lead the opening and success of a brand-new store in the heart of Bath for one of the UK's most respected heritage footwear brands.

We are now looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead our exciting new Bath store.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious retail leader to take ownership of a new store – building your team, establishing a loyal customer base and creating a store that becomes a destination for customers in Bath and the surrounding area.
The opportunity
As Store Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall commercial and operational performance of your store. You'll have the autonomy to make a real difference, supported by an experienced senior leadership team and an established UK retail business.
You'll lead from the front, combining strong commercial management with the high level of service expected from a premium heritage brand.
Your role will include:
- Leading the opening and ongoing performance of the Bath store, taking ownership of sales, KPIs and commercial results.
- Building and developing a high performing, customer focused team through coaching, training and clear leadership.
- Creating a premium customer experience.
- Developing strong relationships with customers and actively growing your localclient base and community connections.
- Identifying opportunities to increase sales, customer retention and repeat business.
- Maintaining excellent standards across visual merchandising, product presentation and store environment.
- Taking responsibility for stock management, loss prevention and operational compliance.
- Managing rotas, payroll and day-to-day store operations effectively.
- Leading by example and representing Loake with professionalism, confidence and pride.
- Working closely with the wider retail and head office teams to help shape the continued growth of the brand.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a proven Store Manager who wants more than simply running an established shop.
You'll ideally have:
- Over 2 years’ experience managing a retail store, ideally within premium, luxury, fashion, footwear or another customer led environment.
- A strong commercial mindset with a proven ability to deliver sales and KPI performance.
- Experience recruiting, coaching and developing a team.
- The confidence to take ownership, make decisions and drive results independently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build genuine relationships with customers and colleagues.
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, EPOS and clienteling/customer relationship tools.
- A professional approach to personal presentation and brand representation.
- The ability to commute to the store within 30 minutes, due to keyholding responsibilities.
