ACE Forwarding is an independent freight forwarder, working with a network of partner offices in strategic locations worldwide and specialising in In-House Dangerous Goods Management.
Our Aberdeen office now has a vacancy for an experienced full-time Import / Export Operations Coordinator.
Description and requirements for the position of Operations Coordinator:-
- Working as an Operations (Import/Export) Coordinator
- Essential customs clearance process knowledge required. Preparing declarations via CDS. Candidate must have at least 1 years’ customs clearance experience in a similar role
- Ideally a fully multi-modal freight forwarder – arranging import and export shipments via air, courier, land, and sea
- Preparing and processing freight quotations– (Import / export)
- Experienced in completing job file administration in a professional and timely manner from opening the file and processing the job through to issuing the final sales invoice
- Responsible for controlling shipment progress and keeping clients fully updated on status
- Working within an office-based freight & customs operation’s team.
- Job role requires a high attention to detail, positive attitude and mindset, strong organisation, and time management skills.
- There will be considerable interaction, via phone, email and in person, with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Confident and able to work to deadlines within a fast-paced work environment.
- Completing and managing the organisation of collections and deliveries – Door-to-door
- Customs Control Checks of documentation – supporting the Freight Forwarding and Customs Manager
- ACE Forwarding utilise MultiFreight as our freight operating and invoicing software system, so the candidate should be comfortable using Multifreight or similar IT systems - Previous experience in working with Multifreight would be advantageous, but not a necessity as training will be provided.
Monday to Friday 0830 - 1730. (position requires full office attendance - No WFH)
Part of on-call rota following probationary period.
Immediate start
The successful candidate will undergo a full 5-year background history check in line with Aviation Security Regulations.
