Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and experienced labourers to join our local and friendly team. The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with labour tasks around our Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) in Wallsend.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in labouring, waste collection, or recycling to utilise their skills in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
Duties
- Assisting with the loading of company vans and caged vehicles when carrying out customer collections.
- Load and unload waste materials, ensuring loads are secured correctly prior to and during transport.
- Assist with labouring duties such as organising stockpiles, preparing outgoing loads, and maintaining the site cleanliness.
- Compliance with Health and Safety regulations and requirements.
- Working in various environments in a team of two during customer collections or within a team in our processing building.
Skills
- Proven experience in waste collection or recycling.
- Mobile plant operator experience would be desirable.
- Material Recycling Facility (MRF) experience is desirable, including familiarity with waste stockpile organisation and manual handling.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to handle physical labour tasks efficiently whilst maintaining safety standards.

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
