Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized School Premises Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and overall functionality of our school facilities. Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the school premises, including maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety protocols
- Oversee scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure all systems operate efficiently
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance staff, contractors, and external service providers
- Coordinate repair projects, upgrades, and renovations using project management principles to meet deadlines and budgets
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, safety inspections, and asset inventories
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including fire safety procedures and building codes
- Develop and implement policies for building security, emergency procedures, and environmental sustainability
Skills
- Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee teams effectively
- Proven experience in project management within a facilities or maintenance setting
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting HVAC systems, plumbing, and general building infrastructure
- Electrical experience to handle wiring issues, lighting systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) where applicable
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for various building systems
- Supervising experience with a focus on safety standards and team development
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and coordination with staff and external partners
