The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Shift Nurse to join our team, 2 nights per week. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to residents during night shifts, ensuring the smooth running of the care team, and responding to any medical needs.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the night shift, supervising and supporting care staff
· Administer medications and oversee drug rounds
· Provide wound care, dressing changes, and diabetes management
· Deliver end-of-life and palliative care, including syringe driver management
· Liaise with families and out-of-hours GPs when required
· Maintain accurate documentation and care plans
· Report to the Registered Manager and Clinical Lead on resident care matters
· Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Experience:
✔ Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC PIN
✔ Experience in a nursing home or similar healthcare setting preferred
✔ Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently
Skills & Knowledge:
✔ Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
✔ Ability to work effectively under pressure
✔ Compassionate and person-centred approach to care
✔ Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
