We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Spray Painting/Decoration Technician to join our team. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking prior to painting or decoration.
- Operate spray painting equipment and hand tools to apply coatings accurately and efficiently.
- Utilise fabrication and assembly skills to modify or prepare components for decoration.
- Use power tools and welding equipment where necessary for surface preparation or finishing tasks.
- Follow technical drawings and specifications to achieve desired decorative effects.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of workstations, ensuring all tools and materials are correctly stored.
- Perform routine inspections of painted surfaces for quality assurance, making touch-ups as needed.
- Collaborate with team members on projects requiring construction painting or specialised decoration techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse, construction painting, or fabrication environments is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with welding, assembly, and basic maths for measurements and calculations.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to spray painting, welding, and handling hazardous materials.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes.
- Prior experience with decorative techniques or specialised coating applications is advantageous.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to spray painting and decoration processes.
