Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Live-in Carer to provide exceptional support and personalised care to clients in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have experience with dermentia care, assisted living, patient care, and senior care, with a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in need. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with individuals requiring specialised assistance, including those with dementia, Alzheimer's, or hospice needs. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care within a supportive environment, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity at all times.
Responsibilities
- Providing personalised patient care tailored to individual needs, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Administering medication and monitoring health conditions in accordance with healthcare plans.
- Supporting clients with meal preparation and ensuring nutritional requirements are met.
- Managing behaviour and implementing strategies for dementia or Alzheimer's care.
- Assisting with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Offering companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
- Driving clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation.
- Responding promptly to emergencies or medical needs, applying first aid when necessary.
- Assisting with heavy lifting or physical tasks related to mobility support.
- Managing home safety protocols and ensuring adherence to health guidelines.
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments is highly desirable.
- Proven expertise in caring for elderly individuals, including dementia or Alzheimer’s patients.
- Knowledge of medication administration and basic first aid procedures.
- Experience in hospice or palliative care is advantageous.
- Familiarity with behaviour management techniques for seniors with cognitive impairments.
- Valid driving licence preferred for transportation duties.
- Childcare experience or caring for vulnerable individuals is a plus but not essential. This role requires a compassionate approach combined with practical caregiving skills to support clients effectively within their homes. Candidates should be organised, patient-focused, and capable of managing physical tasks involved in caregiving activities while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Pay: £700.00 per week
