Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm, Friday 7am to 12pm and possibly 1 in 4 Saturday Mornings
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Production Operative to join our team in Long Whatton. The primary purpose of a Production operative is to support the smooth running of the production department by carrying out various duties. As a member of the Production team, you will support several key functions which will involve manual handling of timber and other products, working alongside other team members or independently. This role will also involve both internal and external work depending on requirement and there may be some heavy lifting and repetitive activity subject to our manual handling policy and training guidelines.
What you’ll be doing as a Production Operative:
- Ensuring you work in a safe and sensible manner and always adhere to all guidelines and regulations.
- To demonstrate a flexible and positive attitude to any tasks which are allocated to you.
- To work to Team Leader instructions depending on daily production requirements.
- To ensure that as part of the Production team all work is completed in a timely manner, correct to customer order and completed to meet delivery as scheduled.
- To maintain a clean and tidy working area and support general cleanliness across the site.
- To act in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety policy.
- To be flexible within the role to be able to support other areas of the business when needed.
- General maintenance and housekeeping duties.
- May be required to support other departments as needed.
Your Skills:
- Ability to follow health and Safety procedures and protocols, including reporting hazards and incidents
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and departments
