Finance Operations Specialist – Accounting (Junior Level)
Location: London — Hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 day remote) Salary: £32,000 – £38,000 per annum + discretionary annual bonus
Job type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role:
This is a junior-level opportunity for someone with some hands-on accounting or finance operations experience who's ready to build broader ownership within an international finance function. Our client is an internationally established, multi-entity consumer/accessories brand trading across 50+ countries, currently consolidating its accounting onto a modern ERP system.
You'll help keep the books clean, current, and close-ready across international entities — working in a real ERP environment rather than spreadsheets, and building genuine breadth as the finance function grows.
Reporting to the Finance Manager (Controlling & FP&A), you'll be a core part of the day-to-day finance operations team.
What You'll Do
- Support day-to-day accounting across multiple international entities — accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and ledger maintenance — within a modern ERP system.
- Assist with month-end close: accruals, reconciliations (including multi-channel/marketplace settlements), and intercompany bookings.
- Support VAT and indirect-tax filings across jurisdictions, working alongside external tax partners.
- Help maintain clean master data and coding (cost centres, channels, dimensions) so reporting stays accurate.
- Handle AP processing, payment support, and expense posting within the company's approval and control framework.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Some accounting/finance operations experience — ideally including exposure to more than one entity, currency, or country. This is a junior-level role, so candidates earlier in their career who are ready to grow into broader ownership are welcome.
- Exposure to a modern ERP system (NetSuite or similar) is a strong plus.
- Organised, accurate, and dependable, with excellent attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to intercompany transactions.
- A consumer or e-commerce background.
- Studying towards, or planning to start, an accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA).
What's on Offer
- London-based, hybrid (4 days office / 1 day remote).
- £32,000–£38,000 base, reviewed annually, plus discretionary annual bonus.
- Genuine room to grow into broader ownership as the finance function scales.
Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
