Community Support Worker
Full time or Part time positions available. (16-40 hrs per week). Working Hours are mostly 9am-6pm Monday to Friday. Flexible working available (e.g 9am-3pm)
To provide support and assistance to people in their own homes in the Salford area. Duties include emotional support, practical help, support in the community, shopping, attending appointments, social activities, help around the house. Support workers at Aegis Care have a varied role, and no 2 days will be the same. Much of your time will be spent out in the community, attending groups and appointments or simply having a cup of tea and a chat.
The successful candidate will be a caring person who is well organised, a good communicator and has a full UK driving licence and their own car. Ideally they will have some experience in the care sector, although newcomers to the care sector will be considered. Two satisfactory employment references will be required. Aegis Care is highly regarded in Salford and we only accept the best candidates.
Training is available in fundamental support skills, NVQ in Care and Mental Health Awareness. On the job support and supervision are an integral part of personal development. Managers have and longstanding experience in this sector and personal development is highly valued. We have a strong team with a relaxed attitude.
