A&G Interiors Ltd is looking for a reliable and hardworking Cable Puller to join our growing team, working on data and fibre optic infrastructure projects across the UK.
Role
The successful candidate will assist with the installation of data and fibre optic cables through underground duct systems on commercial and industrial projects. The role involves working as part of a small team to safely install cable infrastructure to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Pulling data and fibre optic cables through underground ducting.
- Assisting with cable installation and routing.
- Preparing ducts and draw ropes for cable installation.
- Handling cable drums and associated equipment safely.
- Working in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
- Assisting with testing and commissioning activities when required.
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Requirements
Essential:
- Good level of physical fitness.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work away from home when required.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Previous experience pulling data or fibre optic cables.
- Experience working on utilities or telecommunications projects.
- CSCS Card.
- NRSWA (Street Works) qualification.
- Manual Handling certification.
- First Aid at Work.
- Experience using cable winches and pulling equipment.
