Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to complete multiple deliveries throughout your designated route
- Load and unload packages, often requiring heavy lifting and careful handling to prevent damage
- Navigate efficiently using GPS or route plans, ensuring timely arrivals at each delivery point
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery details or address any issues
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required, maintaining accurate delivery records
- Conduct vehicle safety checks before and after shifts to ensure optimal performance
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to promote a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role is highly desirable
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus
- Experience with multi-drop deliveries, demonstrating efficiency in managing routes and time
- Warehouse experience beneficial for understanding package handling and storage procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout the shift
- Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members
- Familiarity with <PERSON> driver systems or similar route management software is advantageous
