Burbage Custom Windows Ltd is an established window and door manufacturer based in Hinckley with over 30 years of industry experience. From our purpose-built manufacturing facilities, we produce high quality products using advanced machinery and modern production techniques, supported by our own logistics fleet and installation services. Alongside our manufacturing operation, we operate Modern UPVC Windows, our rapidly growing online ecommerce division supplying windows and doors to customers across the entire UK, as the business continues to experience a sustained period of significant growth.
Role Profile
The role is to provide effective planning of all outbound and inbound deliveries, collections and courier arrangements ensuring a first-class Despatch and Goods In Service at all times, to enable the effective and efficient on time delivery of quality product to our customers, working to company processes, standards and operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Delivery Processing
· Print all scheduled orders and import onto Maxoptra
· Ensure EvoNet is updated with any courier collection information
· Liaise with the Despatch Team Leader on the daily transport plan
· Revise the daily plan as issues arise and are resolved i.e. driver availability and vehicle availability
· Ensure that all shortages are recorded on EvoNET and affected customers are updated
· Print all delivery notes for next working day and match with Maxoptra, assigning drop numbers on EvoNET
· Plan back orders and re-deliveries on Maxoptra and ensure that customers are updated
· Ensure back orders and re-deliveries are processed correctly on EvoNET
Post Delivery Processing
· Liaise with the Despatch Team Leader any delays, vehicle or any other issues arising from the deliveries
· Monitor and compare actual and planned delivery times on driver runs using Maxoptra and Fleetmatics tracking system, reporting any anomalies to the Despatch Team Leader
General
· Answer and action incoming departmental calls and emails in a timely manner and in line with set KPI’s
· Check and action departmental voicemails in a timely manner and in line with set KPI’s
· Trouble shoot and resolve issues swiftly
· Report any issues that affect performance to the Despatch Team Leader
· Meet daily and weekly targets and report progress daily to the Despatch Team Leader
· Carry out work with a focus on high quality output.
Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes
· IT proficient, MS Office and Systems
· Previous experience of Max Optra and Verizon Connect (Fleet Matics) a distinct advantage (Training will be provided on bespoke software)
· Previous experience within a Despatch environment desirable
· Previous experience of glass, double glazing and home improvement industry a distinct advantage
· Self-motivated and focused, with a flexible attitude
· Good attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy & a commitment to quality
· Able to work on & use own initiative & problem solve
· Strong communication, team working & people skills
· Demonstrate a professional & courteous attitude
