Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods to clients .
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
- Load and unload items, ensuring goods are secured properly during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during deliveries.
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays.
- Assist with organising deliveries to ensure smooth operations across the route.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial vehicles.
- Valid driving licence.
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures within the UK.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
- Good physical fitness, capable of loading/unloading goods and lifting items as required.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Prior experience with delivery driver roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.
Pay: From £26,000.00 per year
