Site Manager for a Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) project oversees the day-to-day delivery of energy-efficiency upgrades across property portfolios. The role demands strong operational leadership to manage subcontractors, ensure strict compliance with PAS 2035, and enforce health and safety regulations on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Direct on-site operations for retrofit and decarbonisation works (e.g., EWI, IWI, windows, and insulation, Solar PV and ventilation) ensuring they are completed to specification, on time, and within budget.
- Compliance & Quality: Monitor works against building regulations, PAS 2035 standards, and SHDF KPIs. Ensure quality control and sign-off on key installation stages.
- Health & Safety: Maintain strict H&S compliance, conduct pre- and post-work inspections, and update Construction Phase Plans.
- Team Management: Coordinate subcontractors, directly report to visiting Project/Contracts Managers, and maintain accurate records for commercial evaluations.
Essential Requirements
- Experience: Proven track record in social housing planned maintenance, refurbishment, or retrofit schemes.
- Qualifications: Valid CSCS card (Supervisor or above), SMSTS or SSSTS, and First Aid at Work.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with SHDF guidelines, PAS 2035 compliance, and DESNZ KPIs.
- Skills: Strong operational management, technical problem-solving, and clear team communication.
- Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (often required for traveling across scattered property sites).
Pay: £50,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
