Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Stores Operative to join our warehouse team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for supporting the control, storage and safe movement of all materials within Stores whilst taking responsibility for ensuring the workplace environment is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
Responsibilities
- Handle all elements of goods in/out procedures (monitoring supplier quality, booking items to stock, adding goods to stores and prepare finished products for despatch)
- Support kitting operations for assembly cells, ensuring correct parts, quantities, and revision control
- Support the efficient running of the department to meet customer requirements
- Maintain good working practices and housekeeping
- Perform accurate stock counting, batch segregation, and inventory cycle checks
- Ensure all plant and equipment are properly used and maintained/report defects
- Receive and carry out work given by the Production Lead, ensuring compliance to ISO standards
- Report any non-conforming products to the Production Lead
- Ensure all items of production and stock are positively identified by the correct labelling
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of materials handling procedures
- Valid Counterbalance and Reach forklift certification is essential
- Familiarity with goods inwards and goods outwards processes
- Understanding of stock control and inventory management principles
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
Pay: £12.71 per hour
