With established prescribing pharmacists already in place, we are now looking to expand our clinical offering and fully realise the potential of Pharmacy First Plus and a growing suite of private services. The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and clinically confident Independent Prescriber Pharmacist to work alongside our existing prescribers and help drive the next phase of our service development.
You will play a key role in delivering and expanding:
- Pharmacy First Plus consultations
- Private clinical services (e.g. travel health, weight management, minor illness clinics, etc.)
- Patient-facing prescribing clinics
- Service innovation and growth initiatives
This is not a “steady-state” role - we are looking for someone who wants to build, improve, and scale services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality prescribing consultations across NHS and private services
- Work collaboratively with the existing prescribing pharmacists to optimise workflows and capacity
- Identify and implement opportunities to expand clinical services
- Maintain excellent patient care standards and clinical governance
- Support the wider pharmacy team in service delivery and training where appropriate
What We’re Looking For
- GPhC-registered pharmacist with Independent Prescriber qualification
- Strong clinical knowledge and confidence in patient-facing consultations
- Proactive mindset with an interest in service development and growth
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience delivering Pharmacy First or similar services
- Background in private service delivery (travel, dermatology, weight loss, etc.)
- Interest in business development within pharmacy
