£13.50–£14.00 per hour

About ZZen Engineering
ZZen Engineering is a specialist sheet metal manufacturing company providing laser cutting, folding and associated manufacturing services to customers across a wide range of industries.
We are looking for a reliable and practical individual to join our team in a varied role combining workshop support, driving duties and general manufacturing activities.
This position has arisen to provide additional support during a busy period and is initially offered on a 4–6 month fixed-term basis. There may be potential for extension depending on business requirements.
Main Duties
- Handling sheet steel and finished components on and off laser cutting machine
- Labelling parts and preparing customer orders for despatch
- Packing, wrapping and palletising finished goods
- Loading and unloading company vehicles
- Delivering customer orders and collecting materials when required
- Unloading supplier deliveries
- Spot welding, deburring, drilling and tapping
- Assisting with press brake folding operations when required
- Supporting production and workshop activities across the business
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Carrying out routine vehicle checks and reporting any issues
Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Must be aged 25 or over for vehicle insurance purposes
- Forklift truck licence and experience preferred
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist in different areas of the workshop
- Professional manner when dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Previous experience within similar manufacturing or workshop environments would be advantageous
Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday: 8.00am – 4.30pm
Friday: 8.00am – 2.00pm
