This job is salaried. Term time only. Paid for 39 weeks of the year plus 5.6 weeks holiday pay. Wages are calculated over the 12 month period and divided over the 12 months.
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pre-School Room Leader to join our Cylch. In this vital role, you will lead a pre school room children aged 2 - 4 years of age , fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes their development and curiosity. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare, adhering to all safety standards under the guidance of the Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about shaping young minds and inspiring a love for learning from an early age.
Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the manager. Lead and manage a team of childcare practitioners, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure effective daily operations
- Alongside the manager. Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that complies with health and safety regulations
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Oversee the documentation of children's development records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage respectful interactions among children
- Support the professional development of team members.
Qualifications
- Proven management and leadership experience within early childhood education or childcare settings
- Extensive experience working with children in nursery or preschool environments
- Strong understanding of child development principles and childcare best practices
- Excellent communication skills in both Welsh and English although training will be given , with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Relevant childcare qualifications such as Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent
- Ability to drive is preferred to facilitate transportation needs or outreach activities
- Passionate about early childhood education with a proactive approach to creating enriching learning experiences
Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 per week
