Overview
We are seeking a dedicated self employed Cleaners to join our team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing a spotless environment. Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere for clients and visitors alike.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
- Clean and sanitise washrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any faults or shortages promptly
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times during cleaning activities
- Ensure all areas are kept tidy, organised, and presentable throughout the shift
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks as required, such as carpet or window cleaning
Skills
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within set timeframes
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards hygiene standards and confidentiality
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and prolonged periods on foot
