Carpenter – Reactive Maintenance
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Carpenter to join a growing maintenance team working across social housing properties in Walthamstow, Hackney, and surrounding areas in East London.
Working on behalf of a large and well-established Housing Association, you will carry out a variety of reactive maintenance and repair works within occupied residential properties, delivering a high standard of workmanship and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive carpentry repairs in occupied social housing properties
- Repair and replace doors, frames, locks, skirting boards, architraves, kitchen units, and other carpentry components
- Diagnose faults and complete first-time fixes where possible
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
- Maintain accurate records of work completed using a mobile device
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service to residents
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter within maintenance, repairs, or social housing environments
- Experience carrying out reactive maintenance works in occupied properties
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong customer service skills
