Overview
Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Forklift Driver. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for efficiently handling products on behalf of our customers, as part of our highly-prized order fulfilment team.
Your proactive approach will contribute directly to maintaining a well-organised, safe, and productive warehouse environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse management systems while playing a key role in our logistics operations.
Duties
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and position product within the warehouse
- Use warehouse management systems to track movements accurately
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments and preparing items for dispatch
- Perform routine equipment repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues with forklifts or other machinery
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and work areas to promote a safe environment
- Support inventory management through accurate documentation and stock counts using basic maths skills
Experience
- Current licence to operate articulated forklift
- Current licence to operate high-level order picker
- Current licence to operate counterbalance, a plus
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is a plus
- Proven ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong understanding of materials handling, shipping & receiving procedures
- Basic maths skills for inventory counts and order processing
- Previous warehouse experience demonstrating reliability and attention to safety standards
Pay: Up to £14.29 per hour
