We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Tearoom Assistant / Cook to join our existing friendly and committed team on a part-time basis.
The role will include some weekend work. Previous experience in a tearoom, café or kitchen environment would be an advantage, but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
The role will include:
- Working as part of our existing team
- Welcoming and serving customers in a friendly and professional manner whilst providing excellent customer service and creating a positive experience for our visitors
- Taking customer orders and preparing food and drinks
- Clearing and cleaning tables, dishwashing and keeping the tearoom clean and presentable
- Taking payments and handling the till
- Complying to Food Safety and Hygiene regulations
- Helping with the day-to-day housekeeping tasks and running of the tearoom
There is also an opportunity for the successful applicant to get involved with some cooking. This would be discussed beforehand and would only be included if you are comfortable and confident with this aspect of the role.
The successful applicant will be hardworking, approachable and will enjoy working as part of a team. They will be willing to learn and be flexible and open to working in a busy tearoom and kitchen. Due to the location and working hours, applicants would benefit from having a reliable transport to and from work.
