Retail Assistant – Halpern’s Kosher Supermarket, Salford
Halpern’s, a well-established kosher supermarket in Salford, is looking to hire a Retail Assistant to support daily store operations.
Role Overview
You will assist with the smooth running of the store, including stocking, merchandising, customer service, operating the till, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily store operations and general retail duties
- Operating the till / point-of-sale system
- Merchandising and presenting products attractively
- Maintaining product knowledge
- Providing excellent customer service
- Following health & safety and food safety procedures at all times
- Working effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Carrying out a range of multi-skilled tasks as required
Skills & Requirements
- Ability to operate a till / cash register
- Merchandising skills
- Good understanding of health & safety
- Product knowledge
- Strong customer service skills
- Food safety awareness
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to work alone (solo working) and as part of a team
- Multi-skilled and flexible
- Physically fit (role involves standing, lifting and moving stock)
Pay: From £26,436.00 per year
