Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized General Haulage Planner to join our logistics team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive haulage plans that maximize efficiency while adhering to safety regulations and delivery deadlines
- Coordinate with drivers, clients, and internal teams to schedule pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments as needed
- Monitor transportation activities in real-time using IT systems and communication tools such as Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery schedules, and vehicle logs to ensure compliance and accountability
- Oversee driver management, including assigning routes, tracking performance, and providing support to enhance productivity
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery statuses, resolving any issues promptly with a focus on exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with supply chain stakeholders to optimize logistics processes, reduce costs, and improve overall operational efficiency
Skills
- Strong management and leadership capabilities to oversee drivers and coordinate logistics operations
- Proven driving experience with valid licenses suitable for commercial haulage vehicles
- Extensive knowledge of logistics principles, supply chain management, and transportation regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite—particularly Word, Excel, Outlook—and familiarity with IT systems used in logistics planning
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear interaction with team members, drivers, clients, and suppliers
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple schedules simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Computer literacy with the ability to adapt quickly to new software or technology platforms used in transportation planning
