Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Residential / Commercial Property Solicitor to join the legal team of a respected law firm based in the Maidstone area. I am also seeking a second candidate for Gravesend too, and therefore, I am happy to see candidates from the wider area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of property transactions, providing expert legal advice, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting clients through all stages of property dealings, including sales, purchases, leases, and development projects.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and proficiency in IT systems to facilitate efficient case management and client communication.
Job Description
- Drafting and reviewing contracts related to residential and commercial property transactions.
- Advising clients on legal rights and obligations concerning property sales, purchases, leases, and development agreements.
- Conducting property searches and due diligence to ensure clear title and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Managing the entire transaction process from initial instruction through to completion, including liaising with estate agents, surveyors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Preparing legal documentation such as transfers of land, lease agreements, licences, and planning documents.
- Ensuring all cases are handled within set deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
- Providing clear legal guidance on complex property issues and resolving disputes where necessary.
- Maintaining organised case files and records using IT systems for effective case management.
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in property law and relevant regulations to ensure advice remains current.
Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Residential / Commercial Property Solicitor or in a similar role within a legal practice specialising in property law.
- Demonstrable ability to handle a varied caseload independently while adhering to deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and external professionals.
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to legal case management and document drafting.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of current property legislation and best practices within the UK legal framework.

- Starting salary £45,000 to £70,000 pa DOE + Car + Generous Benefits Package
