This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Security Manager to join YTL Live and help create a safe, secure and welcoming experience for everyone.
At YTL Live, we're creating one of the UK's most exciting entertainment destinations. As Senior Security Manager, you'll help shape the security operations and processes that protect our venues, events, people and assets.
You'll work closely with internal teams, contractors, emergency services and local partners to plan and deliver safe, effective security operations.
What you'll do
You'll lead the operational security service for YTL Live, including event security, estate security and the security control room.
You'll help us prepare for the opening and operation of Aviva Arena, a major indoor venue in Bristol with capacity for up to 20,000 people.
You will:
lead day-to-day security operations across events and the wider estate
manage in-house and contracted security teams
plan event security resources, rosters, training and resilience arrangements
oversee security procedures, operating instructions and operational plans
support emergency planning, incident response and incident management
lead security risk assessments for estate and event activity
manage intelligence processes, including collecting, assessing and sharing information
support security tendering, contract management and service performance
make sure security staff are trained, competent and clear on their responsibilities
support the development of a positive security culture across YTL Live
work with police, fire, ambulance, local authorities and other key partners
lead investigations into security incidents and make sure lessons are acted on
deputise for the Head of Security and Safety when needed.
What you'll need
Experience leading operational security in a public-facing, events, venue or similar environment.
Experience managing security teams and working with external security providers.
Knowledge of licensed venue security, crowd safety and incident management.
Experience writing or maintaining security procedures, plans or operating instructions.
Experience carrying out security risk assessments.
Experience using intelligence and information to support operational decisions.
Confidence working with emergency services, local authorities and other partners.
Experience training or developing security staff.
Good digital skills, including using approved tools to improve planning, reporting and communication.
The ability to work calmly and make clear decisions in a busy operational environment.
Strong communication and organisation skills.
A willingness to achieve relevant Security Industry Authority qualifications and vetting if you do not already hold them.
A National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health General Certificate.
A Level 6 qualification in security management.
A Security Industry Authority Door Supervisor licence.
A public space surveillance closed-circuit television licence.
Experience developing service measures, performance indicators or service-level agreements.
Project management experience or a project management qualification.
Contractor management experience.
