About the Role
We’re on the lookout for a Window & Door Assembly Operative to join our friendly manufacturing team. You’ll be assembling and preparing a variety of bespoke timber products to the highest standards, ready for finishing and installation.
This is an ideal role for someone who takes pride in their work, thrives in a team environment, and has a sharp eye for detail. If you’re experienced in timber window and door assembly and looking for a place to grow, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Use of hand and power tools, including sanders, routers, saws, and mitre machines.
- Drum sanding (including belt changes).
- Filling, sanding, and prepping windows and doors straight off the production line.
- Glue removal and surface preparation for painting.
- Cutting, pinning, and fitting beads and panels.
- Fitting casements and sliding sashes into frames.
- Fitting panels into doors
- Quality checking finished products.
- Assisting with product wrapping and loading/unloading of lorries.
- Supporting other departments as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in the joinery industry.
- A background in assembling timber windows & doors.
- Confident using tools and equipment safely and accurately.
- Comfortable with heavy lifting.
- Reliable, responsible, and conscientious.
- Friendly, team-oriented attitude.
- Strong work ethic and desire to maintain high standards.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
