Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive, customer-focused Duty Manager to join the team at Eagle Lodge. As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the venue, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and supporting staff to maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and safety.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong hospitality experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the venue during assigned shifts
- Act as the main point of contact for guests, handling enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally
- Supervise and support front desk, housekeeping, and food & beverage teams
- Ensure high standards of customer service are consistently delivered
- Monitor room standards, cleanliness, and presentation throughout the property
- Manage reservations & bookings for restaurant & events as required
- Handle cash management and end of shift reporting procedures
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
- Assist with staff training, scheduling, and performance supervision
- Support the General Manager in achieving revenue, and service targets
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a similar establishment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve issues effectively
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of Res Diary booking systems (preferred)
- Personal Licence (desirable but not essential)
