About Beauty House Academy
Beauty House Academy is an independent beauty training academy in Altrincham, delivering high-quality regulated beauty qualifications to adult learners.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Combined Beauty Therapy Tutor to join our team and deliver a range of Level 3 beauty therapy units and practical training.
This role would suit an experienced beauty professional who is passionate about teaching and enjoys helping adult learners develop the practical skills, knowledge and confidence needed to progress within the beauty industry.
The Role
You will deliver engaging theory and practical beauty therapy sessions, support learners throughout their qualification and assess their work in line with awarding organisation requirements.
Depending on your areas of expertise, teaching may include treatments such as:
● Facial treatments
● Manicure and pedicure
● Waxing
● Massage
● Tanning
● Electrical body treatments
● Health, safety and professional practice
● Consultation and client care
● Anatomy and physiology
● Practical assessment and treatment planning
You will be responsible for:
● Delivering Level 3 Beauty Therapy theory and practical sessions.
● Demonstrating professional, industry-standard treatment techniques.
● Planning and preparing well-structured lessons.
● Supporting learners to develop practical skills, confidence and professional standards.
● Assessing learner work and providing clear, constructive feedback.
● Managing learner portfolios and assessment evidence.
● Monitoring learner progress and identifying where additional support is needed.
● Completing attendance, assessment and progress records.
● Supporting learners to understand assessment terminology and requirements.
● Adapting teaching approaches to suit different learning needs.
● Breaking down complex theory and practical techniques into clear, manageable steps.
● Maintaining a calm, supportive and professional learning environment.
● Ensuring practical teaching is delivered safely and in accordance with academy procedures.
● Keeping your industry knowledge and practical skills up to date.
About You
We are looking for a tutor who is professional, reliable, approachable and well organised, with strong practical beauty therapy experience and a genuine passion for helping adult learners succeed.
Essential
● Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification or appropriate related qualification.
● Strong practical experience within the beauty industry.
● Confident delivering both theory and practical training.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to assess learner work and provide constructive feedback.
● Good organisational and time-management skills.
● Comfortable using online systems and learner portfolios.
● Able to work independently and manage teaching and assessment responsibilities.
● Commitment to supporting learners with different abilities and learning needs.
● Teaching or tutoring experience.
● Assessor qualification such as A1, D32/D33, TAQA or equivalent.
● Teaching qualification such as Level 3 Award in Education and Training, PTLLS, CTLLS, PGCE or equivalent.
● Experience delivering regulated beauty qualifications.
● Experience with Focus Awards or another recognised awarding organisation.
● Recent salon or industry experience.
● Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs.
● Experience using online e-portfolio systems.
