Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our Residential care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of senior care, and a compassionate approach to supporting residents with diverse needs. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, Conducting Audits, submitting monthly payroll figures, Creating weekly staff rotas, Good engagement with Brokerage and Social Workers to receive bed referrals and delivering high-quality personalised care to residents. The successful applicant will be committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for all residents and staff alike.
Duties
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Confident and able to use a computer/laptop with IT skills in emailing, Word, preferred but not compulsory Excel. Downloading documents, attaching documents to emails, good organisation of documents on PC, using AI Chat GPT and other packages used for call logging and Care Plans and training.
- Oversee the development and implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
- Supervise and support care staff, providing leadership, training, and performance management to maintain high standards of care.
- Manage and Audit the administering of medication in accordance with prescribed protocols and ensure accurate documentation.
- Coordinate staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage at all times while promoting a positive team environment.
- Monitor quality assurance processes, conduct audits, and implement improvements as necessary.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate effective care delivery.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents by maintaining a safe environment and responding appropriately to emergencies.
- Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks related to the efficient running of the home.
- Proven experience in residential care home environment with a strong understanding of senior care needs.
- Extensive knowledge of medication administration, and care planning.
- Demonstrable management experience with supervising teams within a care home or similar setting.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing care plans, compliance documentation, and administrative duties.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising effectively with residents’ families, healthcare professionals, and team members.
- Compassionate approach combined with professionalism and integrity in delivering person-centred care.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation governing adult social care services in the UK.

Pay: £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
