Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background, with a focus on food safety and preparation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes that delight our guests while maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene. This role requires leadership skills to supervise kitchen staff and ensure efficient food production in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Salary starts from £30,000 to £40,000 per year based on experience !!!
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment to enhance team performance.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
- Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends.
- Monitor food production processes to ensure consistency and quality of dishes served.
- Maintain an organised kitchen workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and used safely.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to special requests or dietary restrictions promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills, with an eye for detail in presentation.
- Leadership abilities to effectively supervise and motivate kitchen staff.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new recipes and menu items.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule.
