About Us
Happy Days is a charity supporting people experiencing homelessness, addiction, poverty and multiple disadvantage. We provide safe accommodation, practical support and compassionate, person-centred services that help people improve their wellbeing, reduce harm and move towards more independent lives.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Service Manager to lead our Jubilee House and Winter Shelter services.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operational delivery of two important Happy Days services, supporting both staff and residents to ensure they are safe, well supported and able to achieve positive outcomes.
You will provide leadership across both services, overseeing the delivery of high-quality support and housing-related support within a trauma-informed, person-centred and High Tolerance Harm Reduction approach.
The role will involve:
Leading the day-to-day operation of Jubilee House and Winter Shelter
Managing, supporting and developing the Complex Lives Coordinator team
Overseeing the delivery and quality of support and housing-related support
Leading on safeguarding, risk management and incident oversight
Monitoring service performance, quality and compliance
Working closely with housing, health, social care, probation, police and other partner agencies
Supporting continuous improvement and the development of our services
About You
You’ll have experience managing or supervising staff within homelessness, supported housing or complex needs services.
You’ll be a calm, confident and supportive leader who can make sound decisions in challenging situations. You’ll understand trauma-informed and harm reduction approaches and be comfortable working with people experiencing multiple disadvantage, including homelessness, substance misuse and mental ill-health.
You’ll be organised, approachable and able to build positive relationships with staff, residents and partner agencies. Most importantly, you’ll share our commitment to creating safe, respectful and supportive environments for people who may have experienced significant trauma and exclusion.
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to join a passionate organisation that takes a different approach to supporting people experiencing multiple disadvantage.
You’ll work alongside a committed team and have the opportunity to shape and develop two important services, making a genuine difference to the lives of the people we support.
