Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant bar environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of bar staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Oversee food preparation and ensure all beverages are prepared to standard, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist with cooking and food production when necessary, supporting the culinary team during busy periods.
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are adhered to, including food safety standards.
- Train new staff members on service procedures, safety practices, and company policies.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and foster a positive team environment through effective leadership.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the bar area, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards.
- Assist in organising events or special promotions to enhance customer engagement.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations.
- Experience in serving beverages and understanding of bar operations.
- Familiarity with culinary practices, food production processes, and kitchen experience is advantageous.
- Excellent leadership qualities coupled with organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.
- Barista experience or background in coffee preparation can be beneficial.
- Good communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team confidently.
