Groundworker (Drainage) – Senior / Lead Man & Labourer / 2nd Man

Easaway Draincare is a growing, well-established drainage company, and we are looking to recruit both a Senior / Lead Man Groundworker and a Labourer / 2nd Man to work as part of a two-man drainage team.
This is a full-time, permanent role with steady work and excellent earning potential.
The Role
You will be based in Leeds and will work primarily across Leeds and the surrounding Yorkshire area.
Senior / Lead Man responsibilities
- Lead a two-man drainage groundworks team
- Repair and replacement of drainage systems on domestic and commercial properties
- Work including damaged pipes, gullies, rest bends and associated fittings
- Reinstatement of excavated areas to original condition (tarmac, paving, concrete, etc.)
- Excavation and repair of external water mains
- Use of CAT & Sonde equipment to trace and mark services accurately
- Patch lining experience advantageous (not essential)
Labourer / 2nd Man responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Man with excavations and reinstatement
- General drainage groundworks support
- Opportunity to learn and progress within the drainage industry
Pay, Hours & Overtime
- Basic Rate: Senior Lead Man £14 - 16 / 2nd Man Labourer £13.50
- Profit share on all overtime work
- Overtime is regular and can add £10,000+ per year
- Core hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Weekend overtime available
What We’re Looking For
- Previous drainage groundworks experience (essential for Lead Man role)
- CSCS Card (preferred)
- NRSWA – Sign, Light & Guard (advantageous)
- Confined Spaces (advantageous)
- High Pressure Water Jetting (advantageous)
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Reliable, professional, and able to work as part of a team
