Summary
Woodland is excited to have the opportunity to have a new member of support staff join our school team as a TA2.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a commitment to the ethos of our school, has high expectations of self and those around them and with a proven record of outstanding practice. We would like the candidate to be highly motivated, enthusiastic, well organised and reliable and who can use time management skills effectively, work effectively as a part of a team and be flexible, energetic and keen to use initiative. The candidate should also be an excellent communicator with high levels of interpersonal skills, approachable, friendly and have a good sense of humour.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.

NVQ level 2 or above qualification appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
Essential Experience
- Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
- Commitment to undertake in service development
- Commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people
- Ability to relate well to children
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of the concept of confidentiality
Good numeracy and literacy skills

Desirable Experience
- Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment
- Experience of Administrative work, good time management and organisational skills
- Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
- Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities
- First Aid/Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage
Ability to make effective use of ICT
