Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled vehicle fitter /Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing light goods vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. The position is fully paid and requires a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and repair.
Duties
· Maintenance, servicing and repair of Light goods vehicles
· Carry out inspections, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
· Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
· Ensure all work complies with DVSA and company standards
· Complete workshop paperwork and defect reports accurately
Participate in on-call or overtime rota where required
Skills
· Proven experience as an vehicle fitter or technician
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Class 1 or Class 2 licence preferred
· Relevant HGV qualification Commercial Vehicle IRTEC Qualification preferred
or time-served experience
