We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Kitchen Assistant/Chef to join our team at The Buffalo Kitchen & Co. Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Taking front of house orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing work surfaces, and proper storage of ingredients
- Support the team in meal assembly and presentation to ensure timely service
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages or expired items
- Serve meals efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining a friendly attitude towards guests or customers
- Collaborate with team members to streamline kitchen operations and improve overall efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or working in a kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling of ingredients
- Strong culinary skills with an understanding of meal preparation techniques
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and serving skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
