Freelance / Ad-Hoc | Central London & surrounding areasAbout The Mindful Moments Company
The Mindful Moments Company is a small, boutique, wellbeing company specialising in massage experiences for corporate, retreat and event clients.
We believe that wellbeing doesn't need to be complicated. Sometimes, a few minutes to pause, breathe and receive a little care can make all the difference.
We bring our treatments directly to our clients, creating calm moments of relaxation wherever they are. Our approach is warm, down to earth and adaptable to our clients’ culture and ethos to make them feel comfortable, cared for and at ease.
We're a small, close-knit team who looks after one another and we’d love someone to join us who shares that ethos and wants to be part of a friendly, supportive team as we grow.
About the role
We are looking for a seated chair massage therapist to join our team on a freelance basis.
You'll provide seated chair massage and hand and arm massages at offices, corporate events, retreats and private events, helping our clients to pause, relax and take a little time for themselves. No two bookings will necessarily be the same. You might find yourself providing massage in a creative agency in Central London one day, at a corporate wellbeing day the next, and at a retreat or private event another time. We need someone who enjoys this variety and is comfortable adapting to different spaces, people and situations. You might be working quietly with one client at a time, or in a lively event environment with lots of people around. Being able to read the room, remain calm and create a sense of connection with each client is really important.
Most bookings are weekdays, with occasional weekend work depending on client requirements. You'll generally be working across Central London and surrounding areas, travelling to different workplaces and venues sometimes with a massage chair on a trolley. Lunch, snacks and refreshments are often provided as part of your shift, depending on the client.
We're a small business, which means everyone and their input matters. We're not looking for someone who simply turns up, delivers a treatment and leaves. We want to build a team of people who care about the experience we're creating and who look out for one another. We value kindness, reliability, trust and a willingness to help. We want everyone working with The Mindful Moments Company to feel supported, respected and part of the team, whether it’s once a month or several days a week.
We're particularly looking for someone who can help us with holiday cover and our busy Christmas period, as well as taking on ad-hoc bookings throughout the year. We would love for the right person to move into a more regular or permanent role as we grow.
The person we're looking for
For us, the person is just as important as the qualifications. We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, warm and kind-hearted, with a naturally caring manner
- Client-focused, with a genuine desire to make every person feel comfortable and looked after
- Calm and reassuring, particularly when working in busy or unfamiliar environments
- Confident and engaging, able to chat comfortably with people from all walks of life
- A good listener, able to understand what a client needs and adapt your approach accordingly
- Curious and open-minded, with an interest in massage, intuitive touch and holistic wellbeing
- Conscientious and reliable, with excellent timekeeping and attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working across different locations, venues and types of events
- A calm problem solver, able to think on your feet when things don't quite go to plan
- Comfortable working independently, while also being a supportive and committed team member
- Team-focused, loyal and trustworthy, and someone we can rely on
- Hardworking and proactive, with a genuine can-do attitude
- Professional but personable, able to represent The Mindful Moments Company confidently with our clients
- Good at putting people at ease, even if they are nervous or have never had a massage before
We’re looking for someone warm, personable and genuinely caring who enjoys working with people. Above all it’s about the right attitude and approach.
