A great opportunity has arisen to support our medical workforce through our on-going transition to e-job planning.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who can confidently coordinate our day-to-day job planning processes for consultant and career grade medical and dental staff through the transition from paper-based to electronic job planning.
As Job Planning Coordinator you will utilise specialist knowledge and expertise to support our Clinical teams to deliver the annual job planning processes and targets so we are seeking someone with experience in job planning (and ideally e-job planning systems) with a flexible and inclusive approach to their role.
This role is for a fixed term of 12 months. Interviews will be held on the 30th July.
To provide expert support and advice to a range of colleagues including medical staff, clinical leaders and managerial colleagues with regard to all aspects of job planning.
The post holder will be required to be confident in using electronic job planning systems and will be familiar with Consultant and SAS contract requirements.

The full job description is attached, however the role duties include -
- Provide advice and support for job planning delivery to Divisional personnel
- Support use of the e-job planning system, keeping up to date with technological changes
- Ensure processes outlined in the Job Planning Policy are adhered to
- Support the consistency review process
- Support annual job planning rounds for all relevant medical workforce, liaising with Divisional Leadership teams to determine an achievable delivery timeframe
- Support individual job plan reviews or team job plan discussions, providing advice as required
- Review job plans for accuracy, with support from the Deputy Chief Medical Officer
- Play a role in ensuring that requirements for pay progression are actioned and instigate review to ensure that the required criteria have been met
- Assist with compliance reporting on behalf of the Divisions and Executive oversight, monitoring progress against national guidance for levels of job
- Be the lead contact for job planning queries
- Monitor system license numbers and permissions, ensuring that records are fully up to date, particularly in relation to new starters and leavers
- Ensure that the e-system is set up appropriately for all users, including entry of a data set for all new medical staff which will enable both job planning and appraisal and setting up new departments
- Monitor utilisation of the system to ensure best practice and promote the need for accuracy to be maintained at all times
- Support training of users of the e-job planning system as required
